Workshops
The Andean Medicine WheelThe Andean Medicine Wheel is an ancient path of power and knowledge from South American which can be used for self-transformation and self-discovery. It is also used to create a shaman's mesa or sacred altar of medicine stones for use in everyday living and for healing. Join me for an experiential workshop in which we will discuss the four cardinal directions of the Andean Medicine Wheel - the South or Serpent Path of personal healing; the West, or Jaguar Path of the peaceful luminous warrior; the North, or Hummingbird Path of the ancestors' wisdom; and the East, or Condor Path of the visionary - and their relationship to the shaman's mesa and the Karpays, the Great Rites of Passage as given by the Q'ero Indians of Peru, the descendants of the Incas. Call for place and time THE ANDEAN ADVANCED MEDICINE WHEEL TRAINING PROGRAM 2008 (PDF) The Shamanic Journey: A Direct Encounter With SpiritAn essential part of the shaman's path is the shamanic journey, or travelling into the world of our helping spirits in order to receive wisdom, power, or healing; to help other people or the planet; and to connect with Nature. This ancient method is easy to learn and very helpful for everyday life questions and challenges and for personal healing and growth. During this workshop, we will journey to the Lower World to meet our power animal or ally; journey to the Upper World to meet a teacher in human form; and journey to the Middle World to meet an ancestor spirit ally. Participants are asked to bring a bandanna for covering their eyes, a cushion, a blanket, and a notebook and pen to record their journeys.

Join us in this powerful ceremony in which we will honor Pachamama (Mother Earth) with an offering of sweets, sugars, grains and flowers and simultaneously weave and cleanse the luminous threads of our energy bodies to create reciprocity or Ayni, a sacred principle of the universe.
